Exclusive Publishing Agreement

Fiction4All (including A1AdultEbooks) has opened up publishing opportunities for the authors it pays directly (henceforth called Fiction4All authors).

This agreement is an optional extension to our standard publishing opportunity whereby you as author submit your stories through our Submissions Suite at www.epuborg.com and then those stories are published on our main sites at www.fiction4all.com and www.a1adultebooks.com as well as on a number of satellite sites owned by us. For sales on these sites you receive a standard rate of royalty for each sale as outlined in our Author Guidelines page.

For books with suitable content our EPP will include

Your book published on Amazon Kindle, Mobipocket and Fictionwise (other sites to come in the future)
Your book published as a paperback (subject to suitable size and content)
Your paperback book will be sold on Amazon and other sites and included in our paperback editions library
As your EXCLUSIVE publisher we will endeavour to get your book sold on even more sites - those which require publishers to have exclusive arrangements with their authors. This includes Kindle, Sony, B&N and a number of other sites, and other sites depending on the genre of your book.

Remember - it will cost you NOTHING to get your book published with us, even in paperback!

AUTHORS PLEASE NOTE

If you decide to opt to be included in EPP, by checking the box on your author profile then your books will be added to our Exclusive Publishing Program. As we currently have approximately 600 titles to be processed through EPP, this catch up process will take us some time to complete - so please bear with us while we do it! To make things run more smoothly, new titles will be given priority in the EPP schedule.

The Exclusive Publishing Program will make your book visible to a much wider audience than is currently possible on our own sites.

Each retail outlet has its own royalty rates and terms, payout cycle and many other factors. To keep things as simple as possible, our Exclusive Publishing Agreement is based on the following:

1) You as author agree for Fiction4All/A1AdultEbooks to publish your title on any 3rd party site where the book will be sold commercially and not given away for free.

2) You, as author, agree NOT to offer your title to any other publisher or self-publish on any other site, without giving us 3 months notice of your intention to do so. When you give such notice we will remove you from our Exclusive Publishing Program and withdraw your titles from sale on all sites other than our own.

3) Fiction4All, as publisher, will collect information from each site on sales volumes (number of units sold) and the total royalty payable to Fiction4All

3rd party sales will be credited to your Fiction4All/A1 account (which all authors have) as soon as we receive actual payment from the retail outlet. Each organisation varies in terms of their payout cycle and dates on which funds are paid and the method paid.

As an example only: Kindle calculates its sales for a month and reports on the 15th day of the following month. Royalties are then paid approximately 45 days later.

In terms of our business, this would mean that any Kindle sales in February 2011 would be notified to us on or around 15th March. Amazon Kindle would then send us the royalties at the end of April - so we would credit your account with your earnings at the start of May - meaning they would be included in the May month end and you would receive the earnings during the first part of June. We would notify you online of sales volumes and royalties as soon after 15th of the month as possible - together with a date when we expect to credit your Ficiton4All/A1 member account with those royalties.

Mobipocket and other places run a quarterly cycle with a similar inbuilt delay to them paying out.

We may be able to improve on payment delays in the future, depending on the success of each program.

If you want to be included in our Exclusive Publishing Program then please tick the box on the author profile page. You need to do this for EACH pen name. We will then automatically add your future titles to our extended publishing program and, as quickly as possible, we will do the same with your previous titles too.

Remember you can still have your books published on Fiction4All and A1AdultEbooks and our other sites WITHOUT joining our Exclusive Publishing Program but you will not get the added exposure we provide for those authors we publish exclusively.
